We first came to Cameroon in July of 2005 with Teen Missions International (TMI). There we ran their Cameroonian base, and their summer team program for Cameroonian teenagers, opened their boarding Bible School (BMW), helped build and open Aids orphan rescue units, brought 2 teams of teenagers to Cameroon from the U.S. for projects, evangelized in remote villages etc.... It was an amazing time that came to an end in Dec. of 2008 when our 3 year commitment was over and we saw our vision for ministry in Cameroon changing. In January of 2008 we started the paperwork for Win Our Nations (WON) in Cameroon so that they could operate in the country of Cameroon. That was a learning experience....but a good one (we learned a lot). There as coordinators/directors and with another missionary couple we opened/ran an orphanage (that had 30 children when we left), opened an evening Bible College and opened a couple of car washes (whose profits went to help run the orphanage)., We also hosted and/or led short term missions teams, did evangelism in remote villages, did several projects in remote villages. All in all a very fruitful time that came to an end in Aug. of 2013 when the Lord opened another door with GTS orphanage that was in danger of closing if we didn't step in and take over.
